Itinerary Ideas
Prague, Czech Republic
Prague is a magical, beautiful, fairytale like city. With so many amazing things to do, it's easy to enjoy a visit even during the winter. Here are some recommendations for your trip to Prague:
Stay in the Mala Strana for a wonderful Prague experience. The Mala Strana or "Little Quarter" is filled with cafes, winding cobblestone streets, and the Charles Bridge. Within walking distance, or a short tram ride, you can easily reach the landmark Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, and the Golden Lane. There's plenty to do here, one of my favorite activities is taking the funicular to Petrin Tower, where you have a view of all of Prague.
If you're limited on time and can only get to one other area of Prague make it The Old Town with the Prague Astronomical Clock, it is a must see. Once on this side of the Vltava River you can fit in a visit to Tyn Church, Bethlehem Chapel, the Jewish Quarter, and the Spanish Synagogue.
Make a stop at the Prague National Museum with a collection of natural scientific and historical collections related to the Czech Republic housed in a neo-renaissance building built in the late 1880's it's sure to be a good choice.
Something you might want to visit is the Prague John Lennon Wall. Filled with graffiti, poetry, and one of a kind street art dedicated to John Lennon.
Take a river cruise. The Vltava River is beautiful and it's fantastic to see the city by water.
If you're into fashion then of course you have to shop! Make a stop at Wenceslas Square. Located just a few minutes walk from the Old Town it is more of a long lane filled with shops and restaurants than a square but fear not the atmosphere here is enjoyable and you'll no doubt love the area.
